Merits:
For a Merit/Promotion you should be contacted by your departments Personnel Specialist.

There are 3 items we will initially ask for when preparing for a Merit.
- Candidate Statement covering the current review period.
- List of all Publications, Contributions to Jointly Authored Works, and Extending Knowledge covering the current review period.
- Updated Curriculum Vitae
A timeline will be given on which item will be due.
Once the dossier is complete the Candidate will approve to go forward for review.
The action will be voted on and the complete dossier is submitted to the Dean’s Office for final approval.

Promotions are a longer process and involve requesting Extramural Letters.
6-8 Letters are required by the Dean’s Office.
We require a letter writer list and materials as early as possible.
Once the letter writers are contacted and confirmed we send a Candidate Statement, Curriculum Vitae and 3-5 most relevant Publications.
These letter writers are usually given 1-2 months to complete their reviews.
We then request the 3 items we will initially ask for when preparing for a Merit.

- Updated Curriculum Vitae
